Been on a holiday trip with my favorite friends for the second time this year. First time was to Bali Borobodur.
Arriving there hungry, all we could think about was food!
Walking into a mall (all I remember were the letters “SM” as the name of the mall), it’s nice to be greeted by a shop beholding my name.
Jolibee! That’s like the McDonald’s in Malaysia. Every once a while during the trip you’ll see Jolibee at some corner.
Probably the only time I’ll ever eat Jolibee, just grab the best they have for only RM10++
There’s two pieces of brownie, some glass noodle with a slice of egg, one prawn, half a lime, layered with something sweet. Followed by corns and chopped carrots and a nice piece of drumstick.
Now, the wrapped piece of food there is… you see, I thought I’m having hamburger. It looks like a hamburger. So I thought it was a hamburger, until I ate the rest of my meal to find out it’s really just rice!
Emily’s going to ROFLOL already.
But yes, rice. At least the rice is flavored. It’s so neatly packed you can stick your fork into it and lift it off like an ice cream on a stick.
Emily, go laugh somewhere else. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…..
Moving on, the pesos change I got back after purchasing Jolibee, they look like gaming arcade coins back here in Malaysia.
We stayed at Go Hotels equivalent to Tunes Hotel of Air Asia.
Ah, the SM mall. They seem to like SM a lot. MUAHAHAHAHA
Whipping out our camera, just keep snapping! For the way we once pass, we’ll never pass by again. Above is security van. Pretty solid piece of metal.
Philippine’s school bus.
What’s odd about this picture is that… there’s a chicken above Britney Spears. Go figure.
It seems that if you have the money, you can advertise as much as big as you like! Thus you’ll see sign boards at every neck turn.
Heading towards the public transport of Philippines, Manila; we just had to grab a drink. How refreshing it was until words caught my eye. What may not be obvious about this picture, is now circled in red.
There’s a height requirement to working in these stalls! And the requirement meant that you DON’T exceed 5″4 if you’re a male or 5″2 if you’re a female.
Cross bridge across the railroad. Zigzags over many roads. And this isn’t even after office hours yet.
This train looks innocent enough until you’re in it. Photography wasn’t allow after giving the tickets but now I appreciate how much space we do have in Malaysia’s LRT. At one point during the journey, the train is totally packed. Maximum already! And at the next stop, still can squeeze 5 more people from EACH side of the door.
Getting out of that packed train was described as such, “it was like putting a potato on a squeezer and squuuuueeeezzzzzzeeeee until you become french fries”. That’s the exit experience.
The cheapest mode of transport’s the bicycle with a carriage. Satkuru and I were on the last carriage as the rest fetch 3 each instead.
Adding both our weight together got this man really tired. His tires were almost flat all the way.
This nice red vehicle is as near you see it. We were at a cross road the traffic can be hazardous if there are reckless drivers. No windows, no metal shell, no air bags. Scary ride.
As fragile as they are, thank God throughout the whole trip, there ain’t no accident on any of us. Whew!
Alright, more post next time.
All the post will be gathered under the php10 post tag.
The other Chong who is gonna conquer the world is reporting in.
How I miss Philps!!! Cantiks sungguh!! Jollibee reminds me of your rice :P
Sigh. Guess it’ll never end. Every trip collect something that David did something dumb. LOL
