Nikon D300 My First Camera Gear

Alright, my second blog post!

From here onwards, I will try my best to describe my learning experience in photography.

This will serve multiple purposes such as

1. Typing it out, will allow me to look back one day and see how far I’ve come.
2. Teaching you will benefit you for this blog could very well be like your mentor.
3. Trashing all my knowledge here will also help me remember better because “he who teaches, learns best”

Nikon D300 is a 2007 model.

Sold for (Ringgit Malaysia) RM5600 when it first appeared in the market, I bought mine somewhere in April 2009 for RM4450.

A great discount of nearly RM1200!

The reasons why I chose D300 was…

1. D300s hasn’t come out yet.
2. The sensor size is bigger than those of entry level
3. It’s buttons are similiar to full frame bodies such as D700 (which costs RM7000)
4. I wanna go manual, thus disliking the entry level dial on entry level bodies such as the (then) new D90 and regarded the dial as a waste of space.
5. Every magazine I can find on D300 says it is legendary and best seller for it’s price vs features.
