Malaysia 52nd Independence Day

It has been an honor and privilege to live in Malaysia.

My church duty has coincided with the celebration of Independence Day in SIBKL (Sidang Injal Borneo Kuala Lumpur) church.

Having to wave my own flag which snapping this shot, I’m blessed that it turned out pretty good with just two attempts!

The gungho man of that time was Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, Malaysia’s first Prime Minister.

Leading the Malayan leaders as well as the political heads into negotiations with British in London for Merdeka.

Malayan gained independence from the British Empire on February 8, 1956. However due to reasons of logistics and shifting of power, the proclaimation of independence was made the following year on August 31, 1957.

A huge uproar of “Merdeka, merdeka, merdeka” resounded from Stadium Merdeka.
