Lilies of the Fields | Plant Photography

My mom has a pot in her garden where guppies live under the covering of lilies to shield them from their predator, the cat.

The lily attracts tiny bees to it’s nectar in the center. Sometimes the bee gets greedy and drowns in the nectar.

This special lily lasts only a day and opens up fully when it’s bright and shiny. If that days passes without much sun or is with much rain, that lily will just die shut and a new lily will take it’s place.

Plant photography is one of the easiest thigns to shoot if you don’t mind the mosquitoes biting every chance they get.

Without the limitation as that of shooting pretty girl models, approaching this lily with my camera was much to easy as I could pan and move my Nikon D300 to get the best angle I could find.

From a biblical stand point, Jesus Christ said “Even Solomon in all his splendor could not even dress up like one of these lilies” found in Matthew 6.

Beautiful as they are, lilies are only appreciated but discarded like yesterday’s trash.

Lily photography can turn into a beautiful landscape or macro shot.

Praise be to God for creating such a beautiful yet expendable plant.
