SIBKL YA Camp 2011 – The Surprise Proposal

Pastor Victor counsels 3 couples for marriage at the moment. David (me) & Melissa, Wallace & Ling Si, Philip & Jennie.

One of the counseling sessions, the guys got together… cutting the story short….

David : I’m proposing tomorrow!
All : Wha!!! Congratulations!!!!!
Wallace : You know what, I’m proposing this coming Monday!
All : Fuiyoh!!! You also ah?! Congrats!!!!!

Then to Philip : u?
(philip shrugs)

Ps Vic : Like that lah. How about YA Camp? I’m preaching, Wallace camp commander, David’s photographer, everything’s set man!

And so it came to pass, Pastor Victor got Jennie on stage alone, with the room light dimmed, Philip had guys in white holding candles surrounding him while he is in suit and tie, holding a bunch of flowers, walked from the back to the stage, while his beloved turned the tears tap on full blast.

Most were touched. Girls were melting to the floor wishing they were her. Guys were scratching their heads and wondering why Philip set the bar so high. All in all the surprise proposal turned out so well. Philip and Jennie now engaged.
