This is my last and final post on China February 2010 (finally!)
On the last day we had a really really good lunch
The place was named “Xibei”
which means East Side
but in cantonese… it means….
Anyways… carrying on…

We at in Mongolian tents. What’s unique about their structure is that without stilts or beams, the whole tent is built by crossing wooden sticks and binding them with barks.
Due to the cold weather, these tents are equipped with heater, lamps, lazy susan and nice seats.

We 14 people, sat into one tent! Big cramp place like this wasn’t much a trouble for wide angle lens though.

Extra topping for the special drink…

YAK MILK!
DanielCtw.com once went to tibet to try this yak milk and he describes it as drinking fats…
But I loved it. Almost everyone had only 1 bowl. So guess who finished the rest?

Yak Yak Yak Yum Yum Yum!

A sample of what sitting on a yak feels like.

We even had true blood mongolians dressed up to sing and play music to us.

This guy was fantastic! He played a note on that 2-string instrument and sang! with gusto! and pitched together with his music!
Nothing too sensational but he really has a wonderful voice to an otherwise lesser known language.

He played the guitar first. Then claps along.

I think my mom envies her fur coat.

by the way, I found my name here and what I drank wasn’t yak milk. It was Yak Butter Milk Tea. Imagine Milk churned into butter then put together into tea.
