Today is the last day we’ll be in China.

Reception of the 5 start hotel.

Amount of bags that goes around the hotel for 1 family.

Seen behind a glass, the lake is frozen with some successful attempt of fishing by the fish-lovers of yesterdays (note the big round crafted hole on the left).

Visited the famous “bird nest”. Shape to be the home of a phoenix. Barely any locals are inside. It’s like visiting your home’s stadium Bukit Jalil. Boiling it down, it’s just a stadium!

Solar powered street lamp for bicycle lanes.

Stop and go signs for pedestrians.

View from the first floor of the bird’s nest. You can see the water-cube stadium on the left.

Entrance to the seats in the bird’s nest. This isn’t a lens effect, the path does gets narrower as you enter in.

Feeling parched after all the cheering? Share these mouthpiece with 2 billion people in china.

Nothing beats a poster so beautiful you almost think it’s staged.

Following the theme, bird’s nest street lamps.

Playing with a little prespective, we make small the building of a government.

Whenever you forget which country you are in, just look at this building adorned with waving pride.

The last event of the day was an acrobatic show. Even with nikon VR 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, moving subjects still gets blur. Nevertheless, we only need a few pictures for story telling.

The guys were freaky actually. Almost wearing a skirt, they were stomping around and exerting masculinity, but I rather look at girls prancing daintily on their toes.

These spinning petals of cushions never fall off. Amazing huh.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 girls on 2 chairs!
Every spare limb carries with it another cushion to spin.

Skipping rope. How many ways can you leap about a long string?

They had to jump 3 times or more for each stunt. Amazing people.

This was the freakiest acrobatic dance. The two men look like gays spinning about. X_X

I wonder where the top gets her support, but the bottom girl surelly have some strong core in her abdomen.

Jumping through hoops… finally something only all men can do. HAHAHAH! That sounds so wrong and I can almost hear the girls clapping.

Lastly from the acrobatic performance. Motorcycles in a ball.

With slow shutter, holding my breath, cushioned by bag and coat…

Up to 5 motorcycles can swing around the metal ball…

When suddenly the turn the lights off!

And I hold my breath for 1 more second! Beautiful effect ain’t it?

I seem to like symmetrical numberings…. 1111 = every-every-every-day

Silk Street. Same as Petaling Street in Malaysia KL, except they have loads of pretty sales girls who can induce, seduce, entice, persuade most men to buy their stuff with sweet voice, feline hand tugs and, believe it or not, language! I’ve heard them speak dutch and spanish ~_~

And so this bring the end of the “Sightseeing” posts.

Greetings away from Maelodee Chong.

And Panda Michael Chong.
I’m so going to get myself a wide angle lens. ROARS!

Signing off (while exchanging contacts),
David Chong.
