Carnival Festival at Prima Selayang

An organized effort brought about a carnival at Prima Selayang. As it’s open air, it turned out to be an awesome bright shiny day with as it down poured the night before. Unfortunately the grounds were wet when the event took place. Walking around, I had to take one step at a time to avoid slipping on the mud. Nikon + mud just don’t gel.

The events that took place from the entrance onwards, there was Master Chef, health checkup, angry birds, treasure chest, hair pin decor, parachute, all the way to futsal. There were so much food from noodles to free drinks (you’ve gotta guess it’s names as ‘payment’).

There were a clown, much things up his sleeves. He lights a paper and brings out a stick. Fascinating to children, adults would tend to rationalize how he did that.

Free style football, excellent hand-legs-body coordination. They can balance a ball on their head, necks, shoulders, face, cheeks, heels, knees…. i lost count.

Walk-around magicians were there too! They would walk around and gather up a crowd in minutes! What I pity them is that in the middle of an afternoon, they have to wear their thick coats (filled with their tools of the trade) all sunny Sunday.

The drummers were cool! They add attitude and style into their drumming. I used to play snare drum once. Being left-handed and trying to keep timing with the right is awfully disconnecting. I love the shot where the drums were reflected in the sunglasses.
