Always feeling creative, fun and fresh whenever holding a camera, David Chong is a photographer whose work is recognized by shooting low-light musicals in SIBKL.
Photography has been a hidden passion that was sparked by a group of bloggers whom he travelled in his early years.
Studied in a computer programming college, it was quite a transition to become a photographer.
David’s path into the field began in 2009 when he picked up his first DSLR camera : Nikon D300 which was pretty high-end at that time. Reading the manual book was a breeze as one would do with programming books thus accelarating the learning process.
Given opportunity to capture events such as SIBKL Live Album, Young Adult Camp, Christmas at the Park, Season of the Year, Morte, Mad World and many more… He quickly became well-acquainted with shooting low-light photography, musicals and capturing the mood of the moment.
Combining programming skills and photography, it has only been 3 years since the time of humble beginnings, chongdavid.com is now a reality and not a dream, to hold the memories of captured moments.
Gratefulness
I’m grateful for all the opportunities that had come and gone so quickly. A huge thank you to the gurus in photography to point out the mistakes and to critic the photos for improvement. For the extra push to excellence, the encouragements that follow, without you guys, I probably wouldn’t be here.
But most importantly, nothing is worth it without my Jesus. Without Him, I am but a void. Truely thankful to God for giving me many opportunites to grow and expand in this industry, for all the blessed events allowing me be a blessing in this life.
Hope you will enjoy the gallaries as much as I’ve enjoyed posting them.
